
Doris Lessing is the writer of A Woman on a Roof. She was born in Iran in October 22, 1919. Her parents moved to Iran for take a job for the Imperial Bank of Persia. She was educated at the Dominican Convent High School, a Roman Catholic Convent all-girls School. However she left school because of, nuns who behave her badly and repressive. After she left school, he started to work in some areas and married. In the year of 1949 she moved to London and she is still in London. Her breakthrough work is The Golden Notebook. Also she is the oldest person who won the prize of Nobel. Her themes are generally feminism and woman rights.
